Guest guest
Hi kelly, My doctor has me on that doseage, and I take 1 1/2 pills morning and evening, and 1 pill mid day. I am going to ask her if I can take it four times a day (one late at night) because I tried this, and it seemed to help with the night sweats. mary At 01:19 PM 10/28/2004, you wrote: >Hi all, >Saw my Dr. yesterday and he increased my metformin to 2000mg per day >for now. Guest guest
I get my full dose of 1000 mg all in one pill with my evening meal. Doesn't seem to cause lows and I don't seem to spike overmuch right before that, either. Apparently my body does well parcelling it out. LOL Aazari The Art of Jolie E. Guest guest
Hi : I've been taking 850 mg twice a day for about 6 years now of metformin. I take one in the morning with breakfast and one in the evening after dinner. This did well for me until about 5 months ago. At that point my blood sugar started going up between 250 to 300. My doctor added 10 mg Avandia once a day and now my blood sugars are around 135 average. My A1c is 6.4 I think. Hope this helps some. I haven't really experimented with different times taking metformin. I just take it when the doctor tells me to. Ken GreyEagle type 2 -- Suggestions on Metformin Hi all, Saw my Dr. yesterday and he increased my metformin to 2000mg per day for now. He suggested two in the morning and two at night. I am wondering if any of you are taking it at different times?
Guest guest
Hi , I take 1500mg of metformin. 1 at breakfast, 1 at lunch, and 1 with dinner. My doctor told me it causes less stomach upset <diarrhea> when spacing it out like this. And I think she is right because sometimes if I forget to take it I will take 2 at once and sure enough will get stomach upset. ...... Are you saying that metformin helps you with night sweats?
