Welcome Mike

Glad the group can help you. I have pain w/my feet also. I've been sleeping

on a loveseat with my feet flat on the wall since 1996. I understand your

pain. When I was working and I was standing on my feet for any length of

time my feet would curl in my shoes. Nothing seem to work for me. In order

to straighten my toes out I would have to literally bang them on floor. Yes,

it was painfully but I had to get the toes to straighten out. Since I

started taking the pred it has gotten much better.

No, this disease is not in your head, doctors can sometimes make you feel

that way.

Just as the group said If they don't have an explanation for your problem,

they try to dismiss it.

When I was in my early 20's I had quit a few problems w/chest pain. I also

went to the emergency room, they couldn't understand what was wrong w/me.

The pain was great, everytime when I moved it got worst.

Hang in there, and the group can give you good advice

Once again welcome, look forward to reading your e-mail.

Compassion

Rene

Hi group: much helpful information the last few days for me. Yes, I was in

the hospital trice this last summer for pains in my chest that wouldn't go

away. Also, my feet have been burning and my toes are becoming arthritic.

Yes, I too have a burning, tingling feeling in my hands and feet- comes and

goes. It is a help to know that these symptoms are not " in my head " and just

stress. My legs and arms suddeny become weak. I stumble or have trouble

lifting objects.Anyone else? >>

well this could have been written by me for myself including the weakness in

arms and legs. I also feel as though there is a weight a very heavy weight

attached to my hands pulling my arms down and also on my legs.

hi all

michael,-i have gotten that arm and leg thing too weak to keep driving

without having to put arm on arm rest-sometimes a gallon of milk is too

heavy and things drop out of my hands-the feet thing-had bad consistent

problem with that some years back-now only occassionally-walking down

stairs was very painful-particularly getting out of bed or after sitting

if only down for a minute or two-i read that that is a symptom of

rhuematoid arthritis-and the esophagus thing-had that also for few

months but went away-it is like an army going to different places-april

April my doctor said RP is so close to RA in a lot of symptoms, and after

doing a lot of research it really is. it is also treated the same. Sorry to

hear you had a bad summer. What was the cause of the chest pain? Angie

Ojmygod - I can' t believe someone has such similar problems - I could have

written this myself - a gallon of milk is my enemy!!!!!!!!! My kids always

want cereal, cereal, cereal and I hate that gallon so we buy milk in quarts

so mommy can pour it - also walking down stairs is so painful and my feet

hurt sooo bad when I rise from a sitting position for only a few minutes!

Sound familiar? I also have that army thing going on - just marching,

marching - huntin down that good cartiledge

Hi Guys & Gals,

Haven't been keeping up with you....too much homework from work :( - I told

my kids it just doesn't end LOL!!! I wanted to comment that when I told my

Rheummy about the burning and tingling sensation that I was having in my

hands - the upper part of the palm - he said it was because the little

joints were inflamed - made sense to me.

Patty B.

- with my lifestyle better give me more than 3 days with no

contact - maybe 2 weeks.

It does make sense Patti. Did he say what to do about it? How to help the

sensations besides meds?
