Guest guest
I've spent some time with folks in the mail order business. They tell me that quite often someone who objects to getting mail from them will tape the reply-postage paid envelope to a brick and mail it back. Postage is around $10. Not trying to give you any ideas or anything..... Guest guest
Eunice, I would never recommend this with mail that is relevant, sent to you based on something you requested or were very carefully selected to receive. It only tends to happen when mailers send out 'pure junk'. I have no problem putting refused mail in our box, just did it recently. Eunice

It has to be taken to a public mailbox or post office. Found that out from the local postmaster.

That is what I was told. I was also told that ofttimes " return to sender " isn't returned. It is tossed out instead. That, I would have thought would be ileagal, since they aren't delivering it back, but that's what I got from the local postmaster.

So I guess it could really go either way.... Shannan
Guest guest
I have never had a problem with refusing mail for mailman pickup either. I have lived in the city and country.
