I am glad you got your answers.. Bowel problems go with Chiari.. Gaggine is

part of Chiari also.. Certain textures or tasts can cause this.. My son does

not gag on candy either.. LOL But has always with different foods... So tell

him to chill out!!!!!! :o) She is not being stuborn, or making it up.. my

son loves bananas but he will gag and throw them up... Do stay here in this

group, u will get many great answers.. What MM is her chiari rated??? ask

the MRI Dr or her doctor.. have them double check for a syrinx... They missed

my sons for years.. Mild gagging is ok, but chocking and touble swallowing

isn't... my son could not tell e he was having pain until he was almost 5..

So maybe systoms are there, you just can't see them yet.. And we will Pray

she has no others... Did you get a list of systoms.. ask the group they will

email you one... Also, she should not jump on trampolines, ride jerky roller

coasters, tumble, and contact sports or activities.. It can cause more

problems... Read read read on here !!!!!! My son is now 9 and had surgery in

March.. I had said NEVER !!!!!!! But it saved his life !! He has Chiari and

syrinx. and was having memory problems, and much much more by he age of 8..

And you might be Blessed and have NO problems for years if ever !!! But get

second opinions !!!!!!! Keep a chart on her actions, illnesses, complaints

etc... It helps the doctors... What State are you in?

Blessings to your daughter...... Ginger... Son Chiari 20mm syrinx 8mm

surgery March 29 2001... Memory problems, trouble with motor skills, pain in

legs and hands and head, and throwing up after playing.. We see NSG again

this next week...
