Certain textures or tasts can cause this.. My son does not gag on candy either.. LOL But has always with different foods... So tell him to chill out!!!!!! ) She is not being stuborn, or making it up.. my son loves bananas but he will gag and throw them up... Do stay here in this group, u will get many great answers.. What MM is her chiari rated??? ask the MRI Dr or her doctor.. have them double check for a syrinx... They missed my sons for years.. Mild gagging is ok, but chocking and touble swallowing isn't... my son could not tell e he was having pain until he was almost 5.. So maybe systoms are there, you just can't see them yet.. And we will Pray she has no others... Did you get a list of systoms.. ask the group they will email you one... Also, she should not jump on trampolines, ride jerky roller coasters, tumble, and contact sports or activities.. It can cause more problems... Read read read on here !!!!!! My son is now 9 and had surgery in March.. I had said NEVER !!!!!!! But it saved his life !! He has Chiari and syrinx. and was having memory problems, and much much more by he age of 8.. And you might be Blessed and have NO problems for years if ever !!! But get second opinions !!!!!!! Keep a chart on her actions, illnesses, complaints etc... It helps the doctors...
