Guest guest Posted December 23, 2003 Report Share Posted December 23, 2003 I have a 21 year old son who I believe has BPD. He is currently in a short-term psychiatric hospital. Because he won't sign an auth I cannot get info as to his progress. He signed one for his father (my ex), to get info so I'm kind of at his mercy for now. He has been in the center for a week. My ex has not spoken to him since his admission. I have called him twice but he does not want me to visit. I called the social worker today and she would not give me any info but told me to keep calling him in hopes he will want to see me. I think he is embarrassed and doesn't want me to worry about him. There are a whole host of problems within the family that I'm sure have contributed to his condition. I just feel like my hands are tied. Any suggestions?
