I have a crappy server (but, free......) and down loads take forever... I am not a computer guru, so i don't know what size is good..but I was on another list, and my system couldn't download all the files with attachments (of course it was a ton) and I had to get a friend who has cable modem download at his computer and delete to get them off the server. Again, I don't know what is too big. and I do love babies..... gracie (new, intro to follow) .. __________________________________________ NetZero - Defenders of the Free World Get your FREE Internet Access and Email at http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html
Guest guest
I find that with attachments some people may not be sure of the size they are sending and I get tired of waiting for them to come in. I think it is better for people to use the shared files section of onelist. That is what we do on VBG and seems to work ok. Just my $.02. Guest guest
Please please please do NOT allow attachments. My mail gets bogged down by them and it can take me 30 minutes to download a single piece of mail if someone adds a nice-sized attachment. I don't have that much time to waste. Plus if attachments are allowed it would get out of hand and I would end up dropping the list. I also have ended up with viruses from them and I don't see the purpose since we do have shared space at onelist to post things. Or people can mail them in personal mail directly to whoever wants to see them. But please don't allow the list to become a clearinghouse for them. Rasley mailto:drasley@...
