Jan,

Per Webster's, provocative - serving or tending to provoke. I would

probably go with that.

Yes, but provocative means that it provokes. Provokable would mean it can

be provoked, which is definitely different. Although I can't document it

either (under provoke in my Encarta World English Dictionary, it only has

the forms provoked, provoking, provokes), I would stick with provokable.

OK, thanks J.L. We'll dismiss " provocative " (was simply thinking out loud).

Sorry. However, I think we can go with the " c " as I did finally locate

something to sink my teeth into ... (Stedman's Radiology - pg. 676 lists

" provocable ischemia. " Ah, I do see the difference, and JFYI (and mine), it

also lists: provocative testing. I'll make huge mentals notes of those!!
