That was you also get fiber and I doubt it would raise your BS as much as the juice. Just think how many oranges it takes to make juice. It's all about choices and priorities and we each have our own . . . both in what we eat and how we choose to spend the $ we have. One buys oranges but you find them too expensive. You are seeking financial assistance in order to afford insulin but recently announced the purchase of a weight machine. We do not have to agree with each other's choices/priorities. Guest guest
I guess your list is different then mine. Oh well, whatever. The important thing to remember is that there are fruits that are much higher and should be used with caution, such as ripe bananas, watermelon, grapes and cherries. And the fruit used in measuring is a SMALL fruit--not a huge one. 1 small apple, 1 small orange. I had to re-train my eyes in choosing them at the store. 8 grapes 10 cherries is a " serving " --not worth it to me. Another tip: If your BG can't handle even a samll fruit--and yes, there are those who are sensitive enough not to be able to--share one--I share apples and oranges with my son. My husband will share with his co-workers. The people who bring donuts might give you a bad look, but those who are trying to diet-- any diet--would like the offer.
