Guest guest
hi is it your husband??? sorry. mine has just been such a pain in the butt today i had to add that smart comment. if it was sciatica it should go down your leg too. not sure if it has too or not but mine always did. you could try tylenol....cant hurt. maybe try heat or ice too. if you pulled something in your back in the past couple days ice would help more. good luck. julie back ache New ailment: bad sporadic pain on upper left cheek. Is this typical back ache or sciatic? I lost 95 pounds and gained back 7. It doesn't seems Like that amount of weight should coz such pain. I never had it when I was huge. It is not bad when I am still but does hurt when I move. Not always, but increasingly. What do you think and will tylenol or anthng help? Guest guest
Lenore, I had pain like that when I was pregnant too. It's not so much the weight you have gained, but the hormonal changes during pregnancy. There is a hormone that allows your pelvic ligaments (and other ones in your body too) to relax and make extra room in your pelvis during pregnancy. That makes your hip joints looser, allows bones to move around a little in ways they are not used to. Also, the growing uterus itself will put pressure on nerves in your pelvis that may cause pain. Tylenol never helped me at all with that pain, but it's worth a try. Otherwise, you just have to wait for it to go away on its own. Guest guest
LOL! It goes away after the baby is born! I don't remember how pregnant you are Lenore. If you are early in your pregnancy, this pain will probably not last the whole time. If you are late in your pregnancy, your only relief will probably be giving birth! Good Luck. Guest guest
BTW did you find any special positions hurt or helped? Also exercising it or letting it stay still? Guest guest
Lenore, I know for sure laying flat on my back was the worst position. I think walking and other movement helps. I also would get down on all fours and flex my stomach up and down. That helped a little. Good Luck. Lynn
