Guest guest
Hi group and friends, I went last Friday to Columbia to get my 3 month post-op follow up tests done. I am very anxious to learn the results. I will see Dr. Oro this coming Tuesday. I think Dr. Oro usually only orders a follow up MRI and possibly 3D CT scan, but I also asked him to order another flow study, as this is how he actually found where my problem was. He agreed and I am hoping that it shows no restricted flow. I still have some pressure, but I feel it's coming from the fact that my neck muscles have been cut twice now so it will just take longer to heal. I have noticed that I seem to have more tightness and pressure in the mornings when I first get up. I've also noticed that I have muscles spasms and tightness if I sleep on my sides. Does anyone else notice any problems like this?? To (ACMTWEETY at AOL.COM) and P. - I apologize for not coming by the hospital to see you last Friday. I did not check my e-mail before I left so I did not have your last name. I had e-mailed earlier in the week and I asked for your last name. I told her I would come by and visit with you while I was in Columbia. I hope this finds you doing well. Since I've gone back to work I rarely get on the computer. I did finally down load my messages at the end of the week and had 60!!! I was trying to delete and clean up my computer today and read a post from one of our fellow chiarians about them having problems with a racing heart rate. I too share with this problem (along with high blood pressure) and my PCP put me on 25mg. of Atelolol, one a day. This drug works great for heart palpitations, fast heart rate, and of course high blood pressure. However, the downfall to this drug is that it really slows you down, which is what we need I guess. Sorry I couldn't remember this person's name. If any of you all know this person, please pass this along to them so they can ask their PCP if it would be right for them. I also read Judy Marie's post about Dr. Oro cancelling her surgery. I know how disappointed you were, but this was probably the right thing to do now. Dr. Oro and Diane are both very good at what they do. I'm glad I chose him to do my last surgery. My only regret is that I did not let him do my first surgery. If I had, I might not have had to endure the 2nd one. Kathy in MO
