Okay now there is a doc out there who would give you the ambien--I am an RN as you know and my specialty is Chemical Dependency--ambien is one of the rare controlled meds that we give even tho it is a hypnotic it is non-barbituate and non benzodiazapine. If you had to take it for the rest of your life who cares??Sometimes docs make me soo angry and patients do have a right NOT to have to live with pain.We are talking about the quality of life here and you deserve quality. Also as you know labs can be abnormal and pop right back to normal.I know it must be frustrating and disappointing but please hang in there. You are in my super duper prayers.You need to sleep and you need to be free of pain. I don't know how your insurance works but if you could get the okay for a couple of visits to a psychiatrist I bet he would give you the ambien and how about a pain management doc for pain meds.
