Guest guest Posted September 29, 1999 Report Share Posted September 29, 1999 Angie I need to clarify the name of the hospital fund available for people without an insurance plan or funds of their own It's called the Hill Burton Act and the person asks for upon admission to the hospital it has to be then and not later as they won't give it except at the time of admission. You have to ask for it but if all the funds for the year are used up then they don't have to give it and just tell people there are no funds available it also has to be a hospital that receives federal funding as they are the only ones that offer funds under the Hill Burton act.
