My father is also diabetic- I don't know if his doctor is an endo, but I know he is happy with him, but he may be an internist. If you want me to get his name to pass along to you, I will, gail
Guest guest
Well I went to see my doctor on Saturday and he changed my meds to Advandamet. I haven't been doing too well. My sugar is up in the 200s again and I can't seem to bring them down. I'm extremely tired and all I want to do is lay down. I'm not sure if it's the meds or not. He said he wants to see me again next month. I gave him a list of my bg readings for last month and I'm startng a list for this month also. Went to the library Saturday evening and got some books on diabetes. Very interesting stuff. Have to go up and apply for Medicaid sometime this month so I can get my eyes checked because my vision is getting really bad. Is anyone else on Advandamet? How's it working for you? Guest guest
Is anyone else on Advandamet? How's it working for you? > > I take Avandamet 2/500 three times a day. I have lowered my A1C from 7.6 to 6.0 in 5 months. I found by trial and error that it works best if I take it at least 30 min. before I eat. I still have fasting bs higher than I'd like. The only time I have had it where I wanted it was when I was strictly following the Atkins diet and I just can't take that one for a prolonged period. I hope the Avandamet works for you. (I haven't lost any weight while on it, however. Not happy about that.) Elena
