They can get it, however, say after a Surgery on the Spinal Cord, or Chiari Decompression, where Fluid collects and forms a Buldge. The regular Meningocele can be the more harmful one if you are born with this ype of Spina Bifida. __________________________________________________________________________ I believe this is correct. The difference is that a true Meningocele has nerve tissue trapped inside it. Whereas a pseudomeningocele (which is often the result of a leaking dura after surgery) has no nerve tissue inside it -- it is just a pocket of csf and not a true Meningocele. Just my 2 cents.
