Guest guest
Dear Katy, You mentioned that your son was " mild RSS " and that he was on projection to be 5'3 " . You also mentioned Dr. H. in your posting. I was wondering who projected your child's final height? At what age and what information was used for the projection? Anyone else who has information about projected heights please feel free to jump right in with an answer. Thanks,

It was done of boneage and how much they was currently growing and also threw in the growth spurt. The endo I use to see had a chart also to help him figure it out. He really hit in on the head when he gave my daughter a predicted height of 4 foot 7. She is 4 foot 7 3/4 inch. And already as went through puberty and the growth spurt. Now I am waiting to she what happens with my son. His final height is supposed to be 4 foot 3 inch. I no longer go to an endo any longer. Only a regular doctor see them as of last year. Krystal RSS 14 yr. 4 ft 7 3/4 RSS 11 yr. 3ft 7 NO RSS 9 years 4 ft 7 or 8 he grows to fast to keep up with
Guest guest
Hi , I need to be careful here. The height projection came from me, not Dr. H. I was noticing (with relief) that had finally begun picking up a little height and was on the growth curve. So, I said to Dr. H., if he is on the 5th percentile now, then won't be on the 5th percentile as an adult? She cautioned me that with RSS kids, you can't count on the final height reflecting the pace of growth as a child. It could flatline again at puberty and get stuck at 5 feet, for example. So the projection was more of my husband and I playing with the growth charts and extrapolating where might be. Dr. H. didn't say we were off base, but gave us that caution. Guest guest
Hi , How are you doing? Sounds like you got a lot of good responses to the g-tube issue. It sounds like you can't go wrong, but I understand why it's a tough decision. Think how much more pleasant life will be when you can put this decision behind you. Life is pretty good here, though busy. My job has me traveling a bit. I haven't been to visit my folks in so long that my father is actually coming up! My mom makes the trek often, but my father is not much for travel any more. Bay is a bit more cranky today. Is there a " ramping up " phase with Periactin. I'm hoping this increase in crankiness is not going to be lasting. Poor fellow is also getting leverl teeth -- three in the past two weeks alone and I can see another just under the skin. That could be cause for the crankiness today.... So how's your little lady? I always picture her quite sweetly sitting in the petty little dress she was wearing in the picture you sent me. It's fun to dress up the little girls. Of course with Bay it's quite different, the more rough and tumble-looking the outfit, the cuter the little guy! Sexist begins at home. Anyway, I hope that all is well with all of you. Take care. Re: final height predictions From: Lequiz@...
