The first one June 2002 for hernia repair and then again in late October for a gallbladder removal. The 2nd surgery was much much easier to recuperate from than the hernia surgery. A lot less pain and I was driving by Fri (surgery was on Monday). With the hernia surgery I wasn't driving for almost a week and still had severe pain. My surgeon used a special stitch interiorly on two different levels instead of having stitches on the outside. On the outside he used steri strips which worked fine. The 2nd surgery I did get a slight infection in all the laproscopic sites but oral antibiotics cleared it up in no time. For me the hardest part was the pain control after surgery. I think that is key to your healing well after surgery. Good luck! Bonnie
Guest guest
I have had this many times and all with good results, good healing and minimal pain afterward. We are all different but for me, this is best. Good luck! Jill
