The less radiation and particularly the less chemo a person gets, the more

likely alt. treatments will be effective.

I've read that the following are reportedly helpful for people w/

small cell (oat cell) carcinoma of the lung (SCLC):

GERMANIUM-132 (Ge-132)-- Moderate to large doses should ONLY be

taken under supervision of physician.

melatonin-- effective even if metastasized

inosine (amino acid)

Chinese herbs (I'd consult a Chinese herbalist)

It is 1 of the cancers that Gerson therapy is often effective

in treating. Gerson therapy's extraordinarily demanding.

If I had cancer and was selecting a Gerson treatment

center, I would go to:

Centro Hospitalario del Pacifico S. A. (CHIPSA)

Tijuana, Mexico

877-424-4772/619-573-9720

www.cancerhelp.net

I also believe that Kelley's Nutritional-Metabolic Therapy is

very effective with it.

For more info, www.whale.to/cancer/kelley.html

This therapy's available at the following 2 places (I have an

excellent impression of both):

* , M.D. and Issacs, M.D.

36a East 36th St, Suite 204

New York, NY, 10016

212-213-3337 or 212-535-3993; fax 3414

www.dr-gonzalez.com

www.oxytherapy.com/aj/not.html

*Jack O. , M.S., D.C. (also nutritionist & dietitian)

Dr. 's Wellness Center

3601 Algonquin Rd Ste 801

Rolling Meadows, IL 60008

847-222-1192

For more info, see www.cancure.org/Dr_taylors_wellness_center.htm)

described in detail in the book

Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide to Cancer.

Let me know if you'd like more info on any of the above (or resources for

finding other treatments effective w/SCLC), general info on diet & natural

supplements for healing cancer, or names of alt. cancer practitioners in a

particular geographic area.

Best wishes,

Hi Georgia

I can imagine what you are going through....

The solution I will be giving you is not only to sell you

something ... it actually worked for a patient with bone marrow

cancer... and he is fully cured.

This patient changed his diet and looked at each product to see that

no harmful ingredients are used.

Example do not use toothpaste with fluoride in, do not drink coffee

and other beverages ....

THE MAIN PROBLEM is the WATER ...... do not drink Tap water, because

it contains Fluoride and Chloride.

Well that is what can offer you, A Mineral Water Purifier.. It

purifies the water of all harmful ingredients also including heavy

metals, it add minerals to the water including the 2 cancer-fighting

minerals GERMANIUM and SELENIUM.

I quote " There is growing evidence that Selenium may be protective

against certain cancers (breast, lung and colon) and numerous tumors.

Selenium intake with chromium, copper, potassium, magnesium and

calcium have been found to be beneficial in reducing risk of

cardiovascular disease "

I think there is a lot of alternative treatment available and the

above is one !!

Also view website http://www.mrweb.co.za/clients/evasystem

Be strong

Cheers

Pieter

Dear Georgia,

Seek alternative therapy as fast as you can! This cancer is fast.

Faster than you can imagine. My father was diagnosed with it in

December 2000 and he was put on chemo for 6 consecutive 3

weeks off, 3 days on rounds since then. He instantly became so

ill, I too like yourself, immediately realized the chemo was going t

o kill my 83 year old sweetheart of a Dad. He immediately couldn't

eat, constantly vomited inspite of enormous amounts of antivomit

meds, and consistently kept losing weight.

I wanted to get him out of the chemo program but I had my mother and

brother to contend with who Dad was living with that preferred to believe

the monster oncologist....he IS a monster...no feelings, just " let's do this

chemo and that chemo " and " that didn't work " . The monsters at hospitals

are more concerned with following guidlelines and not getting sued that

they lost sight of the Hyppocratic Oath promising NOT to do harm onto others.

The chemo DOES do harm onto others, kills people in itself but you will yet

find a doctor that will admit it!

Well, the tumors both on Dad's lung and liver did shrunk but as soon the

chemo stopped, the ones on his liver started to grow again. Of course, the

chemo does work for a certain number of people, but nothing holds a promise

for small cell lung cancer and presently, the chances of survival past 2 years

is a dream for MOST of its victims. All the while my father was receiving chemo,

the cancer cells had not stopped moving through the spinal column to the

brain where it metastasized and caused permanent brain damage within 10

days after the chemo had stopped. Now the monster-oncologist wants to do

a spinal tap. He explained to me the logic is that if the spinal fluid shows

cancer cells there is no use for further chemo or ANY treatment because it

doesn't respond at that stage so they would pronounce him a hospice

candidate. So this is where we are now! And you know what the asswip_

onc will ultimately say if I sue him and the system??//....they'll all say that

I

had to let my anger of loss out on someone so it had to be them. YES!

But with reason! There is really NOTHING out there, within FDA approval

that can retard the growth of this cancer for long...it mutates and it has

numerous

escape routes through proteins, antigens and factors in the various human

cells that make it hard to stop. Yet, if there is a discovery for us out there,

the

FDA and all the pockets of anticipated donation-recipients would empty if

one would be let out of the bag. We are living in a bought society.

We had asked the monster to put Dad on Gleevec which also has some

record that it responds to at least 70% of small cell lung cancers, but he did

not do this with the excuse that it would not work (no clinical trials on it)

and

that it would do harm. I ask you...WHAT HARM is worse than losing him

anyway???

I tell you, this whole treatment thing for small cell lung cancer is a

complete hoax. Chemotherapies consist of carcinogenic substances.

I advise you to take Leonard's advice and waste no time to multiple

alternative treatments.

Now, 8 months later after diagnoses, after a long nightmare, we are awaiting

for our father to pass. In fact, I pray for this because I can no longer bare to

see this once strong, full-of-life, intelligent man suffer and waste his

dignity.

I remain purely disgusted with humanity

You might try calling Bob Esh at (866) 962-8880 - He says the Sheridan family is endorsing Protocel as THE Cancell formula.

I don't know beyond that.

I spoke with Dr. Munoz today re the confusion in the small cell carcinoma of the lung. He said that there was no confusion. He thought that he could help the Nashville case, but the other one he couldn't.

Sounds like an excellent regimen, particularly the raw vegetables, juices,

enzymes, & herbs.

> Has anyone got some specific info on beating this thing.

I've read that the following can be helpful w/SCLC:

thymus

mistletoe

GERMANIUM-132 (Ge-132)-- Moderate to large doses should ONLY be

taken under supervision of physician.

melatonin

inosine (amino acid)

astragalus and panax ginseng-- very effective when combined w/chemo

Ukrain

I THINK that Kelley- nutritional metabolic [enzyme] therapy's can be

effective with SCLC, but it's also quite demanding, and I have no idea if

this therapy (or any of the above supplements) would be suitable or helpful

for your wife. Let me know if you'd like more info this therapy or on

practitioners of it, or alt. cancer practitioners in a particular geographic

area.

Leonard

Hi :

My neighbor has inoperable Small Cell Lung Cancer and seems to be doing well

on conventional treatments which he completed a few months ago. He is

active, plays tennis and gets a decent amount of sunshine doing that.

There was apparently small mets to some lymph nodes but I am not sure what

else. As you probably know, they claim it often travels.

How long has he been diagnosed with SMLC? What is your dad doing for his

situation?

My dad was diagnosed with limited stage small cell in February 2003. He was

treated with chemo and radiation and did quite well until last summer. It was

found that there were small spots on his brain in June 2004. He has been going

through convention treatments off and on ever since.

I have a friend at church who was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer about

three years ago and he is doing great! The cancer was in his lung and an

adrenal gland. The doctor gave him 6 - 10 months to live and they are very

surprised that he is doing so well. How long does a small cell patient have to

go without any reoccurrence to be considered " cured. "

Hi everyone,

I noticed on the web site for LDN that it is good for non-small cell lung cancer, but I think my father has small cell lung cancer. If so, does that mean that LDN would not be of help to him?
