An Osteophyte spur in this context is a bony growth on the vertebrae. Depending upon the degree of the degenerative process, this is indeed treatable. I just had it done, and it has (within the scope that I can measure right now) completely alleviated my symptoms. Guest guest
beth, I get this " out of body feeling " at times too...sometimes it can last for days. I've just learned to " ride it out " , I have not found anything as of yet that helps this except to keep my day " simple " extra rest..fluids, no over exertion....do things a bit slower. I do notice with me these episodes tend to be more extreme during my period time..so maybe the extra fluid retention and blood flow has something to do with it. My hubby also notices more of the " staring " episodes during this time too..... Keep your day simple and rest, rest, rest.... Guest guest
>Does anyone happen to know who was the first person diagnosed >with Fibromyalgia? >It may just be me? Unless you were alive in 1851 when the first case was described and actually called Fibromyalgia probably not LOL! Medics often forget that this illness is actually one of the older ones described in technical medical literature- but because it was not diagnosable by " scientific " means, it was largely ignored as doctors, who were only then coming into their heyday, wanted to prove their magnificence by diagnosing and treating things in a manner which made observers go " ooooh! " Not much has changed, eh? I can try to find the research citation for this one, it is a tidbit I recall from my education pre-FM. Bethann (PS- I am new but will intro in a little while!) Guest guest
Mine ring all the time like today I woke up to a normal household turmoil and jumped out of bed quickly and the ringing is very loud today. I have a fan that runs in my room at nite when I sleep and alot of the times it has the sound of the fan. I don't know what is causing it but today it is driving me nuts! Guest guest
Hello Lori, I also having ringing in my ears, it is a constant thing. I went head to head with a neurologist that was so rude. We are retiredMilitary and our insurance is Tricare. The doc called we a welfare whore. I was beyond pissed. I told him that our insurance was part of my husband's retirment package and that if he wasn't happy about the rate of compensation from Tricare then he needs to renegotiate with the insurance company. I reprted him and he moved his practice to the east coast. My pain center doctor only listens to me if my husband is with me...which really sucks. blessings, Loriann Lori Hammer wrote: Does any body elses ears ring all the time? I also have the problem when I walk sometimes of going to my right and trying to straighten myself out sometimes in mid stride can make you look like you are drunk. It is very irritating! As far as nurses giving you dirty looks! That is totally uncalled for. And I know it is not just the nurses alot of times. It can be anyone you deal with when it comes to your meds. You need to stand your ground and look right back at them. Ask them if they would like to switch bodies for awhile? If it is a woman and they have had children, ask them if they rememer what that feels like? You guys I know it is hard but we have to stand up for ourselves because as of right now we have no one else to do it for us. Sorry if I butted in where I was not needed but the dirty look thing just makes me angry and is a sore spot. Theses Drs., pharmacists nurses, specialists, etc...... They work for us! We are the client and we hired them to help us figure out what is wrong. Not to intimidate us. I have learned that with the Drs. I need to find a new pharmacy though as mine likes to lie to me about meds being called in and try to make me wait. They are not the Dr. but Norm thinks he is. We are so concerned about what they think that we forget about that. We hired them! Enough for now, Lori Hammer Father, I know that You are watching over me. I trust my life to You. Guest guest
That Dr. actually called you that to your face? This is getting unreal ya know that? I think we need to remind them that they are the hired help. If they do not get it report them to your insurance company and if they do not do anything then report them to the medical board. Loriann I am going to leave for a few minutes but I will be back. I would like to talk about this some more. Guest guest
My ears mainly ring at night. Maybe since I am too busy during the day to notice. Now they are lightly ringing.
