Hi all, talk about discouraged. That title was writen for me. I went to the

doc today for my monthly labs and left crying. I am in so much pain it is

unbelievable. my back, ribs, and feet are just almost too much to bare. The

doctor had the balls to say people that are worse than I am responded to

metho in 4 to 6 weeks and I am going on my 4th month,. I had all my labs from

the previous three months in front of me and my sed rate and c reactive

protein actually went up from the first lab since metho. give it more time I

was told. I told him about the pain and asked what can I do for it his reply

nothing, I asked for ambien for sleeping and I got the llecture it is habit

forming all meds are habit forming. my insurance doesn't cover it anyway and

20 pills would have been 64.00 don't have it so I guess I stay awake at night

in pain while I look for a new doctor. these labs will be back by monday at

the latest and if my sed rate is the same and the c protein is the same there

will be a war in the office. I have had it now. I fully understand how

someone can give up the fight. It is just too painful to fight anymore. with

no end in sight

I beg to defer with him...but ambien is pretty safe and not addictive....Why

won't your insurance pay for it mine does? Some doctors are absolute jerks. I

wonder if he thought you would sue him for leaving you in so much pain he

would get his act together. This pisses me off.

This is a battle I know it is. If you need some pain meds I'll send you all

of mine. I don't care

I will give them to you. I will continue supplying you. Don't you dare do

this to me.

Give me your address. Does Paxil help you sleep, I have some of those. I'll

give you my next two prescriptions. Tell me the drugs you need, I will try

to get them for you and give them all to you. You hang in there girlfriend.

I have some codeine, if you send me your address I can get them to you ASAP.

NO,NO, NO ANGIE, Don't give up the fight - I can tell you that at least you

can get help with pain meds - there is a web site that deals with helping you

find doctors in your area that will immediately get you pain meds without

judgement - they are very knowledgeable in the fibro, autoimmune field - I

have a great, great doctor who believes that I and only I can determine how

much pain I am in and she is there to do whatever she can to keep me out of

pain. There are studies available from these folks about the sheer numbers

of people that are suicidal from pain and the a-hole doctors like yours who

rag on about addiction!!!!!!!!!!! I am very ignorant about getting around

the internet, but this is called A.S.A.P. - here is what info I have :

other stuff, but please, please try to get your pain under control - once I

gave myself permission to get control over my pain without feeling like a

drug-addict, my whole situation changed and I could concentrate on the

disease itself. These websites will give you an abundance of good,

I have from them - my sister and my mother actually gathered the info for me.
