Guest guest
>OH my gosh, why on earth did you go a year without sex after your >surgery!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Are you nuts?? ) It was the only way we could guarantee that I wouldn't get pregnant too soon post-op, since we're pretty serious about the no-birth-control thing. It wasn't fun! It was certainly effective, however, since I *did* get pg the very first time we resumed. Now, it isn't as though we get together more than maybe once a month anyway, so it may be moot. We're both so exhausted at bedtime that we're just grateful to get some sleep, and I'm not even *in* the bed most nights... so I suppose that if I did get pg again, we'd have to explore the immaculate conception possibility. -Kris

Guest guest
Thanks Chris! I will do that. I'm guessing a BBT is different from a regular thermometer? Where would I get one? -Kris >Ok, you start counting your cycle days on the first day of your period. >Day >1 of your period is cd 1. Guest guest
Ok, you start counting your cycle days on the first day of your period. Day 1 of your period is cd 1. Get a Basal Body Thermometer (BBT) and take your temp first thing in the morning after sleeping for 3 hours...and write down your temps daily. You should see a shift after about day 14 when your temps stay high...start charting and let me look. Guest guest
Yes, a BBt is different. I would get a digital one and any drugstore should have one. check out the family planning section or the thermometers. At 04:44 PM 10/13/99 EDT, you wrote: >From: Ministrwif@... > >Thanks Chris! Guest guest
Where do you put it to get a temp? How much does it cost? How much for a digital? Can you get preg on the first month taking temp or doyou need a base month? Lenore At 03:29 PM 10/13/99 -0600, you wrote: > > >Yes, a BBt is different. Guest guest
You take your temp orally (mouth) although others have used vaginally etc. It helps to have a base month so you can more accurately predict when you will ovulate. BBTs are about $20 in Canada anyway. At 06:21 PM 10/13/99 -0400, you wrote: > > >Where do you put it to get a temp? How much does it cost? How much for a >digital? Guest guest
Yeah, I found that out. Kris e-mailed me about it. I evidently didn't read it right!
