You can hope. I went from full loss of feeling to near the hip to just some loss in the foot. > Is there anything topical that can help relieve the burning? Guest guest
It's quite common when you first start treatment for diabetes that lower BG numbers feel like low blood sugar even if they aren't. That will improve. With the neuropathy, the increased pain is usually a good sign - a sign that your nerves are healing. Ointments with Capsazin (sp?) in them help some people with the pain. Guest guest
Hi Shar- I lost it in a 3-pronged attack. I cut my overall calories from 2400+ per day to ~800 per day. I cut 90% of the fat, carbs and sodium from my former diet. And exercise. Mind you I don't recommend the type of exercise I had over the summer. Bicycled 4 miles per day (Not too bad) and spent the last 4 months clearing 3 acres AND a 450 foot driveway through a heavy woods AND removed all the boulders - with only a chain-saw, an old Ford tractor and my decrepit body. I don't move so good now :-) I expect not to lose like that now that fall and winter are coming... -Rich ________________________________________________________ For some outstanding jewelry and art glass items, see our store at : <http://home.earthlink.net/~verredart/> At 21:17 9/25/2004 -0500, you wrote: >I missed the original of these please tell how you dropped 62 pounds in 4 >months!!?? > > >Messaged edited by moderator.
