Guest guest
DEAR DAWN IN COLORADO Musicdjk THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP & INFO. WE DID WANT TO STAY IN PGH IF POSSIBLE BUT IF IT MEANS SAVING MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE I WOULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE. AT THIS TIME I HOPE TO FIND A GOOD DR AT HOME FIRST. I KNOW WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. LORI HAS MOVED IN WITH US SO I CAN TAKE CARE OF HER. LAST WED WE WERE TOLD BY DR JHO THAT HE WOULD NOT TOUCH HER, SO WE CALLED DR ERIC ALTSCHULER AT MERCY HOSP. WE PICKED UP HER MRI X-RAYS FROM DR JHO'S OFFICE & HAD HER RECORDS FAXED OVER TO HIS OFFICE. THUR HE REVIEWED EVERYTHING & ASKED FOR A WRITTEN RELEASE FROM DR JHO. (WHICH WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR) ALSO ON THUR WE WENT TO SEE HER PCP & HE SET UP FOR A LUNG SPECIALIST TO TAKE CARE OF HER FROM NOW ON (WE SEE HIM ON MONDAY) SHE NEEDS TO BE TREATED BY A LUNG SPEC. NOW SO THAT WE KNOW HER LUNGS ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE THE SURGERY. SHE HAD LUNG FAILURE ON JAN 3RD WHEN SHE WENT INTO SURGERY. SO I DONT KNOW YET IF WE HAVE A DR OR NOT WE ARE KEEPING EVERY # & NAME BECAUSE I MIGHT HAVE TO FIND A DR TO OPERATE ON HER REAL SOON IF THIS ONE DOESNT WORK OUT. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP I LEARNED ALOT FROM YOUR LETTER WE ARE LEARNING SOMETHING EVERYDAY ABOUT CHIARI & WE ARE ALL VERY SCARED IT REALLY HELPS TO TALK TO OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO & WHAT TO EXPECT. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP WITH LOVE ALWAYS DIANA
Guest guest
Michele, I don't know if this varies from state to state, but your job should be protected for up to 12 weeks by the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). I know you have to be at your job for at least 1 year before you are covered in South Dakota, so I would maybe just call a lawyer or do some research on the Internet. Guest guest
: I guess every doctor is different. My kids pediatrician (who just happens to have been MY pediatrician) once he found out I had it, went out of his way to read all articles and such on Chiari. He has decided (along with me) that each of my 4 children will be tested around age 10, when they will be able to sit still for mri, without having to drug them. That way, he feels, if they have no symptoms wonderful, but if down the road symptoms occur, we will already know what to do, without having to play the guessing game. But this is definitely a preference thing on the part of you and your dr. hugs!!!! Guest guest
Take a deep breath. He does not want me to recast sentences. I may try to sneak it in though. Aliceanne that this one feels a lot a lighter compared to the old off the shelf one that she had. I explained to her that this is possible because of the fact that this is a carbon fiber orthoses, the materials are made of carbon fiber as opposed to the old one which is made of aluminum and other alloy materials and also the fact that the off the shelf one was not custom made and fits to different contours of her leg she will feel a difference as far as support as well as difference in weight because it is holding on better than the other one. Guest guest
You would hyphenate off-the-shelf because it modifies the word " one. " (unknown) > > > off the shelf? Guest guest
Yeah , I caught that but it doesn't make any sense to me. Not a real sentence is it? Guest guest
Aliceanne, I know this is late, but it is actually correct, as a part of the sentence before it. It is actually " Sensory examination is intact in all dermatomes on the lower extremities. " Margaret >>> 03/22/02 07:39PM >>> Does this sound right to you? NEUROLOGIC EXAMINATION: Sensory Examination is intact. S/L*All dermatones on lower extremities* He is pretty clear but everyonce in awhile he swallows last syllables if not words. Thanks. Guest guest
Sorry, Still not ringing any bells. I would flag it. With marked re irritation of his painful symptomatology that results in marked disability and does not respond to conservative non operative treatment measures but I feel that Mr. XYZ may be a possible candidate for future surgical intervention. Guest guest
Dear Ida, You always have kind words to say. As you do with Sebastian, I want Tyler to do well and succeed. I get frustrated, or maybe jealous, when other kids are doing things that Tyler isn't. I praise him for the things he does though, To: sList Sent: Thursday, June 18, 2009 5:36:15 AMSubject: (unknown) Dear ,I went through the same thing with Sebastian. No interest in writing whatsoever but with time it has gotten a little better. He will write his name now if I say "First write your name" then you can have the airplane video to watch.... Not to say he enjoys writing his name now but he will not cry and scream about it most of the time. I never force him though. I tell him the video will be waiting for him as soon as he is ready to write his name. This usually works. He still hates to draw though. But the teacher says he does it at school. He just is not into it at home I guess. Maybe one day he will... Don't lose hope, when he was a baby/toddle he would not touch a book. I worried so much! One day he picked up a book on his own and to my surprise less than 6 months later he was reading (without anyone teaching him). You just never know with kids, specially our intriguing ones! Keep the faith, little miracles are always around the corner.Ida
