Guest guest
I do believe stress plays a big part with ms, I worked 60 plus hours and took care of a dying Mother that was my best friend, I had the Epstein-Barr virus when I was younger and grew up in the Midwest. I would love to know why so many people are getting it.

Guest guest
Hey Lynn, I don't think it has anything to do with the profession but if you want to throw STRESS and CRAZY HOURS into the mix, you might be right.. Maybe it's because 95% of nurses are women and MSers are mainly women. I think it is how you look at the statistics. Guest guest
Hi, I've noticed also and I too am a nurse but haven't been able to work for several years. Although the official diagnosis was made only 13 months ago my symptoms far predate my work in nursing. You just brought back a memory; I spent quite a while in the hospital as a young child and my favorite nurse had MS! There's a spooky memory, makes me wonder! My Hep B vaccine series never took either and no one seemed to know why it didn't??? Guest guest
Lynn, I am a nurse also. Yes, I noticed several nurses at our hospital with MS. I think that where ever you work or spend a lot of time at you will be more aware of those who have MS. Now that I am on disability and away from the hospital I see a lot of people with MS and very few are nurses. It seems like where ever I happen to be I here of another person that has MS. I really think that it has to do with environment but who knows? Guest guest
I wouldn't be surprised if Lynn's right. I know many female ex-nurses with MS. If they're right that it's triggered by a virus, that might explain it (since sick people hang out in hospitals!)...
