In my location anyone with diabetes is considered " at risk " and allowed the

flu shot. However, to be certain you are not violating some regional

ordinance or guideline, you need to contact the health department in your area.

Hi Sharon,

I would think so, but guess it would depend on the doctor. I probably will

not qualify since my bg's are so good and I don't get sick often.

My doctor said if you are over the age of 50 and have diabetes or

uncontrolled diabetes you should get a flu shot but...where can we find

them? Here in my area they are gone. sus

***I have never been told or asked by a Doctor to get one which surprises me

since I have been on Antibiotics and have a Chronic open wound. I was in

the Hospital last month with a Staff and Blood infection.

Biggest problem is I am 40, and look maybe 28, so maybe unless I had a

Doctors note... no one would believe me when it comes to needing one unless

they could see my leg.. and know I am also Diabetic.
