Guest guest
Stick with it, you want to do everything you can to avoid being put on insulin shots. a Why? My doctor said he might put me on insulin in January. I'm a newbie, just diagnosed less than a month ago...what's so bad about the insulin shots? (other than the obvious of getting stuck even more). thanks, Annie
Guest guest
MESSAGE EDITED BY MODERATOR Well, I know my body produces enough insulin because I had a test done, so I don't think I need insulin shots. No matter what pill I take <other than Prandin> my BS remains the same. Prandin will lower it slightly but for some reason my endo doesn't like Prandin. She switched me to Starlix and that did nothing, so I went back to Prandin. My endo appointment is tomorrow, and I am curious what she will want to try this time. I was diagnosed 2 years ago. My BS is exactly the same <averages out to be around 160 daily>. All I have done since being diagnosed is spend lots of money on doctors and drugs and nothing has changed other than I am stressed knowing I have this disease and I have less money. > Well, for many people the pills DO work. Guest guest
Have you checked your BS after exercise? I've noticed that mine lowers after a minor workout. ---kpaulmt@s... wrote: ...I was diagnosed 2 years ago. My BS is exactly the same <averages out to be around 160 daily>. Guest guest
MESSAGE EDITED BY MODERATOR My numbers always go up after exercise. Then I have a hard time all day trying to lower them. I can never decide if I should exercise or not......... > Have you checked your BS after exercise? I've noticed that mine > lowers after a minor workout.
