Guest guest
Father planted turnips as a winter crop, and they are coming in. I boil them in acidulated water with some salt. For the roots, I generally take a potato rec. and substitute the turnip root. RE: Re: Snacking on spinach " , Bruce " wrote: Does anyone else here like turnip greens? Absolutely love them! Guest guest
Hi Angelina, I get satay sauce at the supermarket - its a peanut sauce with a little cayenne added. But you could probably make it - I would probably add peanut butter to a low carb salad dressing, with a little cayenne? Its especially good if the spinach is still chilled. mary At 08:53 PM 10/19/2004, Angelia R wrote: >oh goodness.. this sounds good... >Do you have a recipe for your peanut sauce? > >Angelia in OR > >----- Original Message ----- >From: " " > > > > > I buy frozen packages of spinach, and defrost them, and make a peanut >sauce > > with peanut butter and a little satay sauce - and its delicious - its > > served at all the japanese restaurants, not sure what its called > > > > >

I like peanut sauce, but most of the store brands are not right. Runny, sour, too hot. I have found a peanut soup (try that) package that makes a nice peanut sauce, but it is very sugary. =(
