Is it the pork or the curings that make you swell. If the former, you might try

ham, bacon, or sausage made from turkey. Or you could get a sausage machine and

make your own sausages, leaving out whatever it is that makes you swell. (Make

them ahead & freeze them.

How old is the child?

Re: suggestions for lowcarb breakfasts

Nothing is wrong with it, other than I swell, lol. Can't get my

rings off after eating bacon/ham. I guess I hate to give my little

one the same food every day, I'd like to offer her some variety.

But, I have been giving her some oatmeal, I just can't eat oatmeal.

I'm wanting to train my girls not to depend on typical breakfast

foods because of family history of diabetes and all the breakfast

foods seem to be full of carbs/sugar. I figure if I bring them up

the way they should go...

:-)

to cook eggs, and so many kinds/flavors of sausage that one can

hardly become bored. But if you want something different, how about

ham?

For my breakfast, I was eating oatmeal every day

Hi Angelia,

I've started adding a couple spoonfuls of yogurt to my oatmeal. Gives it a

different taste and it is good.

I had been buying the Blue Bunny yogurt with Splenda. Walmart stopped

carrying it for a while, then did start again, but only 4 flavors. Last week, I

noticed that Kroger brand of yogurt is now sweetened with Splenda. They have

lots of flavors. This morning I had French Apple Pie in my oatmeal. The

blackberry is delicious and it has real blackberries because it has seeds in it.

Do you ever eat just yogurt for breakfast?

Hi Pat,

Sometimes I'll have yogurt with the " Good Friends " Kashi cereal. I've also

added yogurt to cottage cheese for breakfast.
