Hi Deb,

Yes I wondered about the raynauds thing. I just turned 39 in Sept. So im in

a weird time I quess. With already having hormone trouble most of my life, its a

very grey area. I've had trouble since I was about 19.

The area is next to my windpipe to the right side, down towards the base of

my neck, and if I stretch my neck out the side like to the left and up it really

feels thickened and is more noticeable under the fingers. About the color: I

have a certain discoloration around my neck anyway, its in small patches farther

back on my neck around the base, but that is something else. but the area Im

talking about, has a slight red mark and one day it got a little redder and

itched, then went away quickly. I dont think its any kind of allergic reaction

or anything. Yes, I have to get it checked. As I write Im getting clammy,

something's out of whack, wish somebody could do something, give me something!!

blue or white. Maybe in the same day if I am in a very warm room,

then the get red & very warm. Can't really say if my fingers ever

get icy cold though. Thyroid gland and it's hormones do control temp

regulation so there may be a problem there. I just posted a good

site about the thyroid gland.

Don't know how old you are but I am 50 and in perimenopause right

now. When I had bad night sweats, my doctor put me on a Estrogen & a

Progesterone hormones which helped stop them.

The swelling on your right side, is it near your throat near the

middle between chin & chest? Tell me more about it and I can ask the

people in one of my other groups about it. It sounds odd that it

will get red, itchy and swollen then subsides. You probably need a

neck ultrasound which is painless. I had one Monday to evaluate

problem nodes in my neck.
