Guest guest
Thanks to those who replied to my dental question about a week ago. Went to the dentist, had xrays and nothing! However, it is still painful (i.e. unchanged since the root canal and temp crown 2.5 months ago). Initially the gum between that molar and the one in front as well as just under the gum margin was swollen and sore. The swelling is gone, the soreness isn't. the dentist doesn't know what to make of it because it looks alright. There has been no change or interruption in the pain. Even if I sleep on that side I wake up from pain - the weight of my tongue on that area of gum apparently. SO, knowing what it isn't hasn't led to any answers. No infection, nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? Now on to the neck. Mon night I was coming home on the old highway because it was getting slippery and asI have done for 6 years, was leaning my head toward each shoulder to release the always constant pain and tightness. If I don't do this and turn my head, then I literally see flashing lights and get severe, distracting pain and lose my balance. So it is better to keep at it through the day and keep it " loosened up " . I have done it while driving before. Over the course of 10 minutes, something happened when I did this and I had a hard time driving. Things didn't look right. I got to the truck stop, got out of the car and fell right over. I was surprised to find myself on he ground. I got back in the car and any time I moved my head or eyes, I felt I would fall over in the direction of the movement and this was accompanied by a wave of nausea. I have Meniere's syndrome and have had some bad vertigo attacks but this didn't seem to be entirely my ears although I felt a huge amount of pressure in both ears along with ringing. I took my Serc and some other stuff and sat in the car staring at the dash, not moving for an hour. I started out home and had to drive 30 kmph and not look around. Fortunately I didn't meet another vehicle the whole way home. My neck still doesn't feel right at the top (i.e. base of my skull). There are more " sound effects " when I slowly try to move my head. My physio thinks my C1-C2 may be unstable and t hat moving my head resulted in the increased vertigo and what he called a " drop attack " . Has anyone had anything similar happen to them? Thanks a lot and happy holidays Joyce
