Guest guest
, I'm with @ill on the short periods stuff. Swimming is great for me - using fins gives a smoother kick and my feet don't seem to have to work so hard. I also bike ride - outside. Loathe gyms, etc. No serious trail riding or in unfamiliar places. Where I live town is nice, scenic and flat, also the neighborhood. Have just started some Yoga again too. Easy stretching, paying close attention to each muscle that I can. Last summer I had some PT in a pool -no swimming, just did movements in water. Water is easy to move in and you can't get hurt - and what said about getting out and back on land, can be true. Legs and body take a few minutes to readjust. PS. Astronauts train in pools so they can get an idea of weighlessness. Horses are also put in water for exercise. I do like being in water the best. Whatever you do, start slow. Take it easy. ~ Gretchen
