Guest guest
I am getting worse by the day and its scaring me to death. My headaches/head pressure are almost as bad as before my decompression which was 1-10-00. I was taken by ambulance to the ER on Thursday of last week and twice this week I was close to calling one again. All they do there is give me shots of demerol and visterol. My local docs here havent called me......they were told by Dr. Frim (he did the decompression) to order a flow study but since its almost a week since i was in the ER and have heard nothing from them my husband called the office today and he wasnt a happy man! He gave them a piece of his mind. Finally......hours later the nurse called me and gave me a number to call to schedule the test. It took them a week to do this? God knows how long it wouldve taken if my hubby didnt call. They know I have been in bed in pain and it still took them a week. The docs never returned our calls either. I can see if I was a pain in the butt.......but Im not. When I write email to doctor Frim in Chicago who is a much busier doc by far, he gets back to me in less than a day. I cant stand the docs here on Long Island and Im at my wits end. If i could afford it I would be on a plane back to Chicago to see doc Frim. Maybe after the holidays I will be able to but with me out of work its tough. In the ER the local doc put me on diamox and they just increased it. Im nauseous, constipated, weak and whoosey. Im sorry for the whining but I am getting real depressed again and I just had to vent. This chiari monster is eating me alive slowly and i dont know how much more i can take! I wish there were more doctors that truly care and understand like Dr. Frim but unfortunetly there arent any here on the island. Believe me I called most. They either dont know much about chiari......or they just dont want to get involved with this disease. This new doc promised he would help me and he promised to keep in touch with doc frim and so far he hasnt done a thing. Well i guess i better get to bed. Goodnight and thanks for listening.
