I also am experimenting with eating mindfully – fully aware

of every bite – sometimes when I am physically hungry and sometimes when

I want to binge. When I eat mindfully, the binge loses its power. I

am no longer using food to ‘numb out’ by eating so the eating

desire stops. Eating mindfully for me IS NOT easy. It takes a

great deal of effort but well worth it.

I am still experimenting with this but when I want to

compusively " overeat " I just go right ahead... I am starting to

observe that I have usually satisfied my craving 5 minutes into

the " binge " .
