Hi Ann,

I think this is a good question!I had a similar dilemma with jewelry. I had

paid a great deal of money to have my engagement and wedding rings sized

" up " when I got them (pre-op) After losing all the weight I thought I ever

would, I paid a great deal of money to have them sized down. I found,

however, that over time - although I didn't lose or gain more weight, things

" shifted about " - even including my fingers and a year or so later my rings

no longer fit (too big again) I simply can't afford to have them sized yet

again, so I only wear them on " occasions " - as they are loose and I fear

losing one. How " weight " shifted on my fingers I don't know (probably the

intense physical workout they get on the keyboard) I also know it took about

a year or so for everything else to " settle " on my body and clothes " fit "

different - even though my weight was stable - so my advice, for expensive

items, is to wait at least a year after you have reached your " goal " weight

to see how things will " settle " and into what places.

Take care

Tracey
