5 hrs before hospital & pain bad

I often wonder when I'm up in the middle of the night who else is awake. I am

due at the hospital in less than 5 hours. The pain from my shoulder won't let

me sleep so I took another percocet. They said I could have pain meds and

most of my other ones before I left for surgery so I figured I needed it more

now. I just had one about 3 hours ago though. I am so worried because the

prescriptiooon they gave me for pain when I come home following surgery is

for percocet too. I told them it wasn't holding the pre-op pain. There is

still some discussion about what to give me but the PA said they rarely if

ever give anything stronger liike demerol. Maybe after the surgery the pain

will feel minor compared to this. It's times like this that you really do

feel you can't go on. THank God there is something to repair even though I

know my shoulder won't ever be " normal " .

I guess I won't be writing much for a while. Hopefully I be back reading soon
