Guest guest
[low dose naltrexone] MS Onset Q/A Group Hi Everyone, Wesley, Lori, Marcie, Geir, Perfectlysunnyday, Danny, Juice, Duncan,Michele, Art, , Lynn, and me.This is great, there are already 13 of us disecting this thing. Iwonder how many MS'ers histories it would take in order to developsome kind of pattern, I don't think there is anything arbitrary about it. Although there may be several catalists, virus, trauma, chemical, environmental, and so on there must also be some common thread.Does anyone have any ideas?Gigi
Guest guest
I test negative for any viruses that can be tested for, traditionally, but my new doc in Austin has a way of testing for viral load in the ear canal. Not that it means much, but it is FDA approved. Anyway, I tested high, and he has me on antivirals. Of course I had the usual childhood immunizations, which I think some bodies can handle, but others can't. Guest guest
I would chip in stories to the onset group. Two houses ago, my home was on top of an old landfill. My MS attacks can be tracked wtih 2" rainfalls while living in the house-o-death. Sports Fantasy Football ’06 - Go with the leader. Start your league today! Guest guest
Originally I thought a huge Excel spreadsheet with all the different variables could be used. But the formulas would be a little hard to figure out. As in, did they get immunized as a child yes? then they fall here if not they fall here. Am I making sense? We woulds have to establish what variables would be used. Right now we have I would say well over 100.Marcie <marcie_martin@...> wrote: I test negative for any viruses that can be tested for, traditionally, but my new doc in Austin has a way of testing for viral load in the ear canal. Guest guest
Kathy, Somewhere a while back I read that MS might have some relation to the distemper virus that dogs get. Well, when I was twelve I had a dog with distemper and had him sleeping in bed with me. Another idea of causes? Peg -- [low dose naltrexone] MS Onset Q/A Group Hi Everyone, I was dx in Mar./99 with MS. I have had MS since 1983 after my youngest was born. I lived in Sarnia Ontario which has a lot of oil refineries. At age 12 I got chiicken pox with Gendicitis (sp). I had a fever of 103 and don't remember much about this time except being too hot. Apparently I nearly died. At 16 I was raped (Trama). So now there is enviroment and a virus, bacteria thing all going on. I was hitting menopause when my MS became very active (genetic). It seems I have had all of the activators activated. So take your pick which one caused the MS. Now how do I fix all of it? I prefer a pill to the shots any day! Guest guest
Kathy, if menopause seemed to make your ms worse, I would look into bio-identical hormones to reverse the clock and hopefully reverse your ms. A little progesterone, testosterone and maybe 8mgs. of estriol should help you. Of course you want to get the saliva test before you supplement the estriol. Guest guest
I don''t know what you are talking about Olive leaf?orotate? -- Re: [low dose naltrexone] MS Onset Q/A Group Oh I wrote that reply Peg before I saw your question. I would start treating myself with some lysine orotate and olive leaf. Maybe your viral load is high. O r just try one and see if you feel better. Just make sure the Olive leaf has a high percentage of oliepeurin. It should be at least 16% and 20% is better. Also, capsule is always better than caplet. Guest guest
Dr. Neiper said distemper in dogs is ms in people. He never wanted people with ms to have dogs. That was his one rule I could not adhere to as my dogs mean the world to me. Kathy [low dose naltrexone] MS Onset Q/A Group Hi Everyone, I was dx in Mar./99 with MS. Guest guest
I have done substantial amounts of laboratory work with oleuropein. Olive leaves have about 6-10 % oleuropein in them naturally. The concentration varies with the time of the year. Something to be careful with oleuropein is that it's temperature sensitive. If the manufacturer extracts or spray drys at to high of a temperature, the oleuropein will degrade. Look for an independent lab that has done on analysis on each lot to prove that do in fact have 16%. How they get to 16% without using gigantic expensive chromatography columns is beyond me. Guest guest
That is definitely something to think about. Sometimes you wonder about the claims these companies make about their products. Thank you for this useful info. So much to learn. It is never ending. Best, Kathy [low dose naltrexone] Re: MS Onset Q/A Group I have done substantial amounts of laboratory work with oleuropein.
