Guest guest
Grrrr, I forgot about this ruling in the AAMT book, regarding using the ° for temperature and spelling out degrees for angles, etc. in surgery. Yes, I read the orthopedic operative notes at work and people are using ° all the time instead of spelling it out. I know, many transcriptionists actually never heard of the AAMT handbook and would go nuts if a newbie pointed this out to them. I think the q & a people don't even know. In summary, are most medical transcriptionists sticking with this darn rule in the AAMT handbook or has it become the norm to use: ° instead of degrees for both temperatures and angles? Thanks in advance, Bill
