Guest guest
Hi everyone, Ijust joined this group two days ago and allready received over 25 emails. I have acm also and had the surgery 5-6-98. I have a lot of problems still and the doctors have put me on disability. I'd sooner be working. I also was told I had ms as the symptoms can be the same. My legs go out from under me and I have taken some bad falls. I have a walker for the bad days. I also have the reflux problems in my throat and stomach and have a cough that just about gags me. And the headaches are terrible. I'm on a lot of meds. and they do help. My doctors in Marquette are super great. My local doctor knows nothing about acm and isn't always thrileed that I still see the specialsts and I really don't care what he says I'm staying with ones that know about it. Now I know why I had so many problems as a child, it was due to this. It's been hard on my mom as she thinks it's her fault but, I asure her it isn't. All 4 of my kids and husband are very supportive of me and I don't know what I would do without them. I used to have tons of patience but, since the surgery I don't. I get so mad at myself over this and so many other things. It's hard to cope some days and there is no one around here that has had acm and surgery so a support group is great. My doctors have told me to get in one. My sister and her husband even gave me this computer so I can join you all. Wasn't that super great of them. I don't mean to ramble on. If I can help anyone with questions and answers I will and I'm glad your all here to help support me too. I don't like to always put it on my husband to put up with me. The moods swing drive him crazy. I was 49 at the time of my surgery. I'm glad I had it, the chocking off at the throat was terrible. hope I'm doing this right so that this gets to all. Take care and Thanks from the bottom of my heart. I will wait to hear back. Pat If there is anything else I'm suppose to put on the top of this with the address please let me know. I'm new to computers. ------------------------------------------------------------ Sent with STUPID.COM's free email.
