Guest guest Posted July 27, 2003 Report Share Posted July 27, 2003 I'm an adult who uses SAMe to reduce my burden of antimonay. I have not noticed any negative side effects. S I am about to buy some SAMe as it would appear useful in helping my daughter's ever lingering concentration problems. She has tested low in dopamine and seratonin so I am assuming it will help. I am of course worried about any adverse reactions which might occur.

Anybody done this route and with what reactions?

in Germany
=======================================================
Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest guest Posted July 28, 2003 Report Share Posted July 28, 2003 , I haven't paid specific attention to that, but should. I just got another bottle yesterday. It's expensive so I haven't used it for a while since I finished the last bottle. If I notice clearer thinking, I should make sure I'm taking it when writing papers for school! I'm also planning on doing another hair analysis one of these days since I had the last one done a year and a half ago. Guest guest Posted July 28, 2003 Report Share Posted July 28, 2003 , I had purchased SAMe, and then realized I was already giving B-12- so why not give TMG and folinic acid to make " poor mans SAMe " . The ratios for this is in the files or FAQ if you are interested. It is much cheaper if that is a concern. I like it because I can tinker with the ingredient levels. We are using it to chelate antimony. As far as improvements... My son started answering questions with 'yes' when I gave it. It was no more than 30-40 min after giving it to him. He is much more connected to his environment, and his language is exploding. This could be simply because the antimony is moving out. Im loving it! Re: [ ] SAMe Have you noticed any + effects. ie. Guest guest Posted July 28, 2003 Report Share Posted July 28, 2003 , Thanks for the thumbs up. I just got back from Holland where SAMe 200mg ( 30 caps) cost about 50 USD but it sounds like it's worth every penny according to what you and others say. I will let you know what progress is. ( Think I might take a few myself !!LOL) in Germany RE: [ ] SAMe > > > > > > I'm an adult who uses SAMe to reduce my burden of antimonay. Guest guest Posted July 28, 2003 Report Share Posted July 28, 2003 samE worked some sort of wonders on my son too. But it does build up in the bodt. After working a miricle for us it then turned him nasty No Regression cognitively/speech I think it may open some pathway or simply be just chelating. I saw by my sons urine he was dumping tons of mercury 2 months after I stopped the samE[he was too nasty for anyone to deal with after 4 wks. of samE] Just my 2cents. --- Griffiths <rp46285@...> wrote: > , > > Thanks for the thumbs up. Hi, According to Dana's site, SAMe chelates antimony. http://www.danasview.net/metals.htm I wish I had a better idea of what kind of protocol to follow with it. Same for using magnesium glycinate to remove aluminum. After learning about redistribution effects for mercury, I'm wary of causing a like problem for other metals. P.S. I personally take 400 mg of SAMe a day in divided doses and it helps greatly with mood and joint pain. I've tried the poor man's combo and for some reason it just didn't have the same effect. Guest guest Posted July 28, 2003 Report Share Posted July 28, 2003 , Yes, I think this would be a good question for Andy. I have been wondering if this is something that I should 'rotate' like the other chelating agents. Robbie's experience is pretty interesting. I personally give it 4x a day like the other supplements. Guest guest Posted July 28, 2003 Report Share Posted July 28, 2003 Devon weighs 34.5 pounds now! Yay! He is only 4 and we have been in the early 30's for 2 years now. We took him to a doc that works with Andy, and I was really pleased with her. (The first one yet) My dose was based on 33 lb. B-12 (4mg) / folinic acid (330 mcg) / TMG (350mg) BUT!!! Now that you had me check- I realise I was giving him 800mcg of folinic acid by accident! I misread the mcg label. WOW- Lets see what happens tomorrow when I move this dose back to where it should be. <sigh> RE: [ ] Re: SAMe & another (?), How much do your kids weigh? I weigh 110, maybe I need to take more? Guest guest Posted July 29, 2003 Report Share Posted July 29, 2003 I'm new to this whole thing and learning as quickly as possible. But I'm confused about what was said about magnesium glycinate. I thought that aluminum cannot be " removed. " Also, I have celiac disease and am very sensitive to supplements (many do not agree with me). I'm in the process of exploring the gluten-free status of Metagenics' Mag Glycinate. Do I understand there could be a problem with using this form of magnesium? Please help! Guest guest Posted April 16, 2005 Report Share Posted April 16, 2005 what about supplementing directly with methionine? I've never posted before but I am reading " Evidence of Harm " , great book and I'm slightly insane at the moment. > > This paragraph below I have added to the end of the chapter on Spirulina and > Amino acids. > > A poor human diet combined with gut problems leads to deficits in SAM-e. Guest guest Posted April 17, 2005 Report Share Posted April 17, 2005 It would be helpful only if the methionine is converted. Seems that is my problem with a number of sulfur supplements. They don't all convert to the next form.
