World ended on New Year's Eve??? That would give us 3 hours to prepare!

Cute, Stacie! Actually, I heard that the Today Show will be broadcasting

from 4:58am EST on Friday so we can see the Millennium come in all over the

world all day long. Because New Zealand is 17 hours ahead of us in the

east, I guess we will have plenty of time to prepare. (New Zealand will be

the first place in the world to ring in the new year.) Can you just imagine

the panic if something does go wrong there?

As for us, we will be here, probably all asleep by the time midnight comes

around. I am finally over pneumonia, although still tired, but both my kids

have the flu and now I think I am getting it. I have the same sore throat

and cough they started with. It is a real tough one, too. Poor Jenna, my

14 year old, has had a fever since last Saturday. It is down to 100 today,

but was up over 103 for 2+ days. Max is starting out. Fortunately he is

drinking a lot and enjoys tea with honey. No worries about dehydration and

hospitalization!!!!! On word of advice....if your " older " kids get it,

it seems to help the fever a bit more if we alternate Tylenol and Advil -

regular or junior, depending on the child. I learned this in the hospital

last week - and it is true. I hope none of you have to try it, though!
