Guest guest
I made an appointment to meet with my Endo. in person the 2nd of January and I plain to discuss all the facts I have found on this network of low carbing not necessarily bad if I don't have bad kidney (which I don't), and I don't over do it on protein. I am so amazed right now of how I don't crave food (mostly sweet deserts) like I used to! I really craved it for about a week or so when I first started cutting down, then about 4 days ago I have absolutely no desire to indulge in large servings of carbs! I feel so good having this self control. I hope to actually educate my doctor on this issue too. I have another question too... sense I have been diagnosed (October) I am surprised my Endo. hasn't called me in to talk with him about my future with Type one and all. How often or at all do you all meet with your Endo's? I go to a military hospital because I am a dependent on my dad in the Air Force. So I tend to get the shaft on one-on-one doctor-patient relations. Or maybe I'm wrong and I need not to be seeing him often.... One question I would like to rise... How do you all feel on the reproductive cloning to provide us with new beta cells to transplant into our inactive pancreases? I for one hope that this new found discovery will continued to be researched and approved for us so that we will one day live a life of no more carb counting and fear of diabetic complications.... By the way I love this network and love being able to come to you all when ever I have questions... ~a in Texas
