I deal with a pinched one which is painful enough. It's hot here in Texas, too so I don't use heating pads much. I was able to find salonpas at the store so I bought a small box. Also bought WellPatch warmth ones that were on sale. The salonpas are small but I put one where my joint hurts. See if it helps. My shoulder doesn't let me sleep good either.
