Guest guest
I'm sure it must be coincidence, but join the group one day, and get something positive to report the next after I've received nothing but bad updates for the 8 months my daughter's been in hospital/residential! My BPD daughter, Sharlene, the one who's treatment team gave a really bad prognosis, has seen the light! Well, I'm not easily taken in, so there's a large pinch of salt taken with the revelation. However, she was almost manic on the phone for a good 20 minutes telling me how she recognised so much of her previously denied illness in the book 'I hate you, don't leave me' that I gave her, and how she really wanted to try and change the way she thinks and the way she copes with things, and was even prepared to start taking her meds again! I see it as a substantial first step, even if I know she'll probably be in denial again next week. In the non BDP world of so much bad news, I thought you'd appreciate a little good news! Guest guest
Bravo, Steve. I'm so glad for you. I can relate to the pinch (or perhaps the entire industrial size bag of rock salt...) salt part. Good news should always be cherished--even if things change down the road. One day at a time...
