Guest guest
Hi all, Thanks so much to all of you for your kind words, support, and concern!! We're home now. Spend 5 days there. She was slightly dehydrated, slightly anemic but her blood sugars were normal (so I am no longer worried about hypoglycemia), and she had fevers off and on with runny stools and wouldn't eat. She slept pretty much the whole time we were there until last night when she suddenly felt better. They did ever blood test known to man, ultrasounds, echocardiogram, MRI (because I refused to do the spinal tap), urine cultures, and brought in a bunch of people. No idea what it was. Must have just been a virus that kicked her little butt. Anyway, more later but we're home and I need a bath!!!! Thanks again for all of the support. Oh, and we did discuss the g-tube as well as Periactin. The ped (our ped's partner) who admitted us was very interested in anything I could tell him about RSS. He was WONDERFUL. Talk to you later after we've unpacked, bathed and slept! Kathleen P.S. Abby is just about her old happy self again-I missed her smile SO much! Guest guest
Kathleen, I am so glad you are home and well again. I thought of you two often. Rest well, enjoy your hot shower, and enjoy your little girl! Jodi Re: Kathleen > > Hi all, > > Thanks so much to all of you for your kind words, support, and concern!! > We're home now. Guest guest
Kathleen, The way the weather has been here lately, you won't have a problem with rain - it will be a problem with snow and COLD!!! I have never been so cold for so long in recent memory. Of course, the fact that I am sick, again, doesn't help things, either. Have you set a date with Dr. H.? Where will you be staying? Don't forget to let me know. I will do everything possible to be in her office when you are. I will call her secretary to change our appt. as soon as I hear from you. I think I told you we tentatively have one for Thursday, February 24, but the 22nd is more convenient for me becaue I don't have school that day. Just let me know. Guest guest
Jodi, Well, thanks for the warning. It will help me pack. I don't like the cold but we'll make the best of it! Out appt is at 12:00 on Fri 2/18. We're only there from Wed (Brent's meeting in Paramus Thurs.), through Sun am. I hope we can meet but don't want you to have to change your appt. We'll figure something out. Wed & Thurs night we're staying at the Sheraton in Saddlebrook, NJ and Fri & Sat we're staying at the Essex-Weston in NYC across from central park. That's all I know as I am completely unfamiliar with the area. We'll have a rental car too-thought we'd better with Abby and a car seat, etc. I'm sorry to hear you're still not feeling well! You and Abby would make quite a pair lately! Hope you're better soon!
