I live in northern NY State, with my husband of 17 yrs my dog and cat. I've had fibro for 10+ years, advanced osteo arthritis and degenerative disc disease. I'm 47..too young to feel this old..lol..and up until 2003 was still able to work and function somewhat...I am a medical assistant...started at 17 as a nurses aide...I really miss being able to work..but low and behold..this monster has me good..I have 2 children and am a new grandma...let's see...I have tried everything imaginable on and off the market to find some kind of relief...at one time was taking a handful of meds every day and they just made me feel worse..now I just take my pain medication and bio identical hrt...I've gained 40 pounds since I've been out of work because I have such difficulty moving around...and because I am an emotional eater...the doc's have trouble treating me becaue I have a terrible sensitivity to medications..especailly the anti-depressants...and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this??? I just moved back home, which is here in NY, last Jan., I live on an Island in Maine with my husband for the last 16 years, but the dampness was crippling me worse...my idea place to live would be out in the desert!! My best friend lives there and when I go to visit her I hate the thought of coming back!!! lol Ok well enough on me...I look forward to meeting and talking with everyone...God Bless for a pain free day....
