Guest guest
Hi all, Just a quick note to let you all know that I had my 2nd OB appointment today and everything is fine. Heard the heartbeat, yay! I really liked the OB I met today. We discussed VBAC at length. Basically, this OB would be supportive of me attempting a VBAC if the baby is head down and I understand and accept the risk of a uterine rupture, but he also would be supportive of me opting to take the safe route and schedule a c-section. I think I am leaning toward the safe route. I also told the OB that I am going to decline the triple-screen (AFP) blood test this time. I had a false positive last time. He was totally fine with that, although I will have to sign a million forms saying basically that it's my decision and I won't sue them. He suggested that we could do my level II U/S at 18 weeks instead of 20 if I'm going to skip the blood test. That works just fine for me! So looks like we will find out boy or girl a little earlier than I thought. :-) The pregnancy is going well, but I am much more tired and sick (nauseous) this time than I was last time. This probably has to do with having a child to take care of and not being able to take such good care of myself. Although I swear I am really trying to take care of myself! It's just hard. Well, that's all for now - I'm completely exhausted and I need to go rest. Wishing all of you health and dreams that come true!
