Guest guest
Jill, Popcorn is a good one. Also, bread is not that high in carbs for the lower ratios. And just adding back milk and not cream adds the carbs.
Guest guest
Hi, we are weaning too, after 3 years on the diet! Our keto center is having us wean .5 ratio per week, started at 4:1. We are now on week 5 and doing surprisingly well, Blair went sz free for the 1st two weeks now 2 per day on days his ketones drop then he gets back to his normal sz activity. We are leaving the diet because of refusing to eat issues, the behaviors around eating have become unbearable. My problem is finding carb sources, we have added cheerios, goldfish crackers and animal crackers but need more variety. Any suggestions? He is sick to death of fruit, his carb source for this three years has been green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini and berries. With all the issues he has normalizing his diet is our goal. He starts Kindergarten in september and the more " normal " he is the better he will do with his peers. He has been on the diet over 1/2 his life so he has forgotten how to eat! Thanks in advance Jill, Blair's mom keto kid since 8/98 tomrrow at 1:5 ratio! PS numbers in my mealplanner for spaghetti noodles have to be way off!
