Guest guest
I went to see the GYN/OB today. I am not pregnant YET but he put me on Natafort twice a day. I took the prescription to the pharmacy and they were concerned with too much iron and babies. Is there any one else on here that is on this and how many do you take. I told the pharmacist that I wasn't pregnant yet so that could be the reason. He is not concerned with too much iron. But now I am. What if I get pregnant and am taking this is it harmful?? He also gave me Folic acid 1 MG. I thought we should take 800 mg.. I am confused? Help!!! Guest guest
Usually, if you're pregnant, you NEED extra iron. I think that maybe whoever you talked to was confused thinking you were giving iron supplements to a baby, which can be a big problem if they get too much. -Kris

I think you should probably try to get it cleared up... too much vitamins can be harmful! --Kris

Guest guest
Yes it was prescribed by my ob/gyn, but there was a little communication problem, he is foreign and I don't understand him very well. I was telling him about a prenatal vitamin that was smaller than the normal ones. I had heard you take 2 instead of 1. I hope the nurse heard him correctly she made out the prescription. Maybe I worry too much. I like the guy but I thank I need to change to another doctor because I always go out of there scratching my head. I just don't want to do anything to harm me or a baby if I conceive. Guest guest
Did you get any information with your prescription; like how many MG of vitamins are in it. From what I had seen so far I think that doctor or nurse was wrong in telling me to take 2 Nataforts. I am going to stick to 1. If I get pregnant I don't want any harm done with too much iron.. melissa J At 12:25 PM 01/08/2000 -0500, you wrote: > > >just one. as a matter of fact, mom is getting a new refill for me as we >speak because i'm anemic now and this is what they recommend. > natafort >>> >>> >>>>I went to see the GYN/OB today.
