A bit of relief from isolation... (NCC?)

Thanks much to all of you who wrote back to me. It was helpful to know

that I was not alone with this monster.

My friend called at midnight last night, and confessed that they had a

large discussion at the party to determine who was sober enough to come and

get me. They decided that no-one was, and didn't want to put themselves of

myself at risk.

He made a special effort to get together with me today, and take me out to

dinner. It was nice. Although it sounds a bit silly, it is nice to know

that I am still loved.

I feel like such a burden to my family and friends sometimes. It is not a

*them* issue, it is a *me* issue. They are so good.
