Guest guest
I've talked to a doctor who specializes in Fibromyalgia, he said that they have not actually been able to prove the Guafenstein works. It only worked in the one study who happened to be all family members in that study. They have since retried it a few times on different subjects and have found no difference in FMS or CFS symptoms. The doctor did say however, it does not hurt to try mucinex or robitussin (those both have guafenstein) because a lot of people with FMS have bad allergies and get colds often and the mucinex can help alleviate symptoms as long as it doesn't cause any reactions with your current medications. He said it is perfectly safe to try everyday and it can help with sinuses runny noses etc. Hope this helps. (NC)
