Guest guest
Can anyone help with a drug name. I'm doing a psych eval and the doc says this patient is taking **hycosomine** for his drooling. He actually spells it out (but that doesn't mean a thing with his history of spelling drug names). The closes drug I can find is Hycomine but that is a narcotic decongestant. (Would a decongestant also dry up drool?) Thanks! Chris

Guest guest
The reason you couldn't find hycosamine in Quick Look is because that is a misspelling for hyoscyamine. Never ever go by the fact that you got lots of " hits " for something on Google. Always check with reputable websites or at least go to the places you found " hits " for on Google and check out what you have found. The internet is full of misspellings. If you find something you think looks good on Google, then check it out on one of the reputable drug sites to make sure that it is correct. Just my 2 cents worth. Margaret >>> " J. L. Guest guest
I know. I'm sorry I didn't research it further (being lazy), but that is why I mentioned that I didn't find it in my book and that I only got hits on Google. I'm sure would know to research it further based on that information. Sorry! ----Original Message Follows---- To: , <nmtc > Subject: Re: S/L hycosomine Date: Mon, 05 Nov 2001 22:39:07 -0500 The reason you couldn't find hycosamine in Quick Look is because that is a misspelling for hyoscyamine. Guest guest
Be careful with Google searches. It is hyoscyamine or perhaps Hycomine, but not hycosomine. To my knowledge, that is not a drug. S/L hycosomine > Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2001 22:08:18 -0500 > > Can anyone help with a drug name.
